Deputies of the State Duma named the spheres of world leadership of the Russian Federation at the Territory of Meanings forum

Russia is becoming a world leader both morally and technologically — this is the main contour of its development. This was announced on July 28 by Alexey Nechaev, head of the New People faction in the State Duma at the XI All-Russian Youth Forum Territory of Meanings.

"Russia is becoming a moral leader in a world that is no longer unipolar, in a world dominated by the West, it is becoming a moral leader for both the East and the great South. And besides moral leadership, technological leadership is also important to us," he said during a political debate in which representatives of other factions took part.

According to Nechaev, Russian technologies should benefit people, not specific countries or Western elites.

During the debate, the participants emphasized the role of representatives of the younger generation in the development of public life in the country, and also outlined new formats for involving young people in politics.

But the legislative framework and human resources are not keeping pace with the dynamics of innovation.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said on July 21 that the decade of science and technology announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin is aimed at strengthening the role of these areas in solving the main tasks of the whole country. In addition, Chernyshenko called this initiative an incentive for various scientific achievements and the creation of favorable conditions for engaging in science. He also noted that all the people involved in this decade are successfully coping with their tasks.
