A criminal case has been opened in Yakutsk over the death of an eight-year-old boy who touched a wire hanging from a power line on the street. This is reported by the SU TFR in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The tragedy occurred on Sunday afternoon, July 27, on Shirokikh-Polyansky Street. In the area of house No. 3, an eight-year-old boy touched an aluminum wire hanging from a live power line. The child died on the spot, writes IA YakutiaMedia.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence due to improper performance of professional duties by a person."
Investigative actions are underway. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
On July 21, in one of the villages of the Sverdlovsk region, a 15-year-old boy climbed onto a transformer booth near a store and received an electric shock. The teenager died on the spot from the injury.
