The weather forecaster told about temperature fluctuations in Moscow in August

Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that temperature fluctuations from heat to cold are expected in Moscow in August.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, July 28, the specialist noted that judging by the nature of the weather in July, noticeable temperature changes are expected in August. According to him, several heat waves are possible, including heat waves and cold spells. These changes, as the expert noted, will be accompanied by intense thunderstorms.

He added that despite such fluctuations, the temperature background in August will be on average two degrees above normal. The amount of precipitation, according to his estimates, will not reach the July figures, when about one and a half months of precipitation fell, but will be close to the climatic norm.

Shuvalov stressed that in August it is worth being prepared for temperature spikes and heavy rains.

Earlier in the day, Shuvalov said that the heat will remain in the European part of Russia for another couple of days. The forecaster noted that light rain may fall only in the south, mainly in the Bryansk, Kursk, Smolensk and Oryol regions, but precipitation is expected to be short—lived and light. 360.ru . In an interview with RT, Shuvalov said that the end of July will be sunny, dry and almost hot, and the beginning of August will bring temporary rains and thunderstorms.

Also on July 28, forecaster Tatiana Pozdnyakova said that August in the capital will begin with rains. According to her, short-term rains are forecast for August 1 and 2. It is expected that on August 2 there will be more precipitation, the heat will subside slightly, and the daytime temperature will range from +25 to +27 degrees. Despite this, the weather in Moscow will still be hot, the Moscow City News agency notes.

On the same day, meteorologist Vasily Yuzhny said that Muscovites could face early autumn this year. According to the expert's forecast, August in the capital region will be contrasting: at first, warm and comfortable weather will set in, but in a couple of weeks a sharp cold snap is expected. In the second half of the month, daytime temperatures will rarely exceed 15-17 degrees, which is 5-7 degrees below the usual values for this time of year, writes RIAMO.

On July 28, the third class of fire danger was established in the capitals and regions. In the next few days, the air temperature will reach +31 degrees. At the same time, weather forecasters do not promise precipitation.
