Journalist Dmitry Kolezev (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, entered in the register of terrorists and extremists), who was convicted of spreading false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, was put on the wanted list. This is reported in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
"Kolezev Dmitry Evgenievich <...> The reason for the search: wanted under the article of the Criminal Code <...> Re—declared, previously wanted," the agency's database says.
Kolezev is a Russian journalist, former editor-in-chief of the Republic (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign media agent).
Earlier, on August 6, 2024, the court sentenced Kolezev to seven and a half years in prison for faking information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The journalist was convicted in absentia due to the fact that he is not in Russia. At the same time, the accused was put on the international wanted list.
Later, on July 25, 2025, Kolezev was added to the register of terrorists and extremists.
