A resident of a collapsed house in Astrakhan reported a crack in the wall in the morning.

In the morning, a crack appeared in the wall of one of the apartments of a multi-storey building in Astrakhan, part of which collapsed. This was reported to Izvestia on July 28 by local resident Sergey Maslov.

He clarified that he woke up in the morning from a crackling sound. According to him, the ceiling was falling down, and a gap appeared in the wall. A local resident noted that a girl had warned him about the characteristic sound in the room.

"Literally 10 minutes before the collapse, the girl and I managed to leave the house and that's it. I just hung up the phone when I was talking to the Emergency response team, and the house collapsed. There was a patch on both sides, in the entrance and near the house, and the foundation also cracked repeatedly," the source said.

Another local resident, Tatiana Nikolaeva, shared that she had gone to the store before the incident. When she returned, she saw that the second floor had collapsed. The woman stressed that she ran to her apartment to pick up the child and documents.
