Roskomnadzor urged to trust only official information against the background of rumors about the possible blocking of WhatsApp (it is part of Meta, the organization is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on July 28 by the press service of the department.

"Decisions on restricting access to information resources are made in accordance with the procedure established by law and promptly communicated to the public through official communication channels," Roskomnadzor reports.
