MAX will protect users from phone scams

The national multifunctional MAX service will be provided with anifroda technology, which will provide users with reliable protection from telephone fraudsters. Developers Sber and VK have already started implementing the technology. This was announced on July 28 by the VK press service.

"Thanks to the cooperation of the companies, it is planned to ensure the security of users of the MAX messenger at a similar level. As part of the collaboration, it is also planned to test new online fraud detection tools at an early stage, thus further improving the protection of Russians," the company's website says.

It is specified that Sber will provide the MAX team with its expertise and technological base to identify suspicious transfers and calls. At the moment, the anti-fraud teams of the services are implementing pilot projects, as a result of which a decision on closer cooperation is expected.

VK pointed out that Sberbank has one of the most advanced anti-fraud systems in the world, including working on the basis of the banking organization's own developments. At the same time, it is noted that the technical capabilities of the Savings Bank make it possible to identify individuals who are suspected of fraud and commit acts under the influence of intruders. In addition, fraudulent transactions are suspended before the user transfers their funds.

On June 30, the MAX press service reported that the first million users had registered on the Russian digital platform.
