Urs Fischer's sculpture "Big Clay No. 4" at the GES-2 House of Culture in Moscow began to be dismantled, later a new work of art will be installed in its place. This was announced on July 28 by the press service of the Recreation Center.
"The change of object is part of the planned rotation of works of art in the urban environment and the development of the territory adjacent to the House of culture," the HPP—2 Telegram channel says.
They emphasized that Fischer's sculpture consists of pieces of clay, kneaded by the artist's hand, and then magnified many times and cast in aluminum. It was installed at HPP-2 in 2021.
On May 15, a recreated bas-relief depicting the head of the USSR, Joseph Stalin, was returned to the Taganskaya station of the Moscow Metro. It is called "Gratitude of the people to the leader-commander" and is located in the passage between the stations of the Koltsevaya and Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya lines.
