A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Last night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike with precision-guided air-launched weapons, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The infrastructure of the military airfield, an ammunition depot, missile weapons and components for the production of drones were hit.

In addition, aircraft, attack UAVs, artillery and rocket forces of the Russian army hit temporary locations of Ukrainian military and mercenaries in 139 districts.

The group of troops "Center" actively liberated the settlements of Boykovka and Belgiyka in the DPR. In the group's area of responsibility, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 395 militants, a tank, nine armored fighting vehicles, including an M113 armored personnel carrier, an HMMWV armored vehicle and a MaxxPro armored vehicle made in the United States, five vehicles, two field artillery guns and an Israeli-made RADA radar station.

At the same time, the units of the North and West groups improved their position, and the Vostok group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of a mechanized brigade and two coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Novoandreevka, Stepnogorsk, Zaporizhia region, Antonovka and Nikolskoye, Kherson region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

During the day, the air defense forces shot down a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) and 203 aircraft-type UAVs.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 664 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 73,153 UAVs, 624 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,363 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,581 MLRS combat vehicles, 27,929 field artillery and mortars, 38,813 units of special military vehicles.
