Moscow court fined TikTok 4 million rubles
The justice of the peace of the Tagansky district judicial district fined TikTok Pte. Ltd. 4 million rubles for violating the laws of the Russian Federation by the owner of the platform. This was announced on July 28 by the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
"An administrative penalty has been imposed in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 4 million rubles," the press service's Telegram channel says.
It is clarified that the company was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Articles 19.7.10-4 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure by the owner of the social network to comply with the instructions of the federal executive authority").
In February, TikTok was fined 3.5 million rubles for not removing prohibited content. It was noted that the publications concerned the involvement of minors in the commission of illegal acts.
