Lavrov noted Russia's openness to dialogue with all countries.
Russia is open to dialogue with any countries, including European ones. This was announced on Monday, July 28, by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking to participants of the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Territory of Meanings" at the Senezh management workshop.
"We are open to dialogue, President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin has repeatedly spoken about this with any other country, including European ones," Lavrov said.
He also cited the example of the telephone conversation between French President Emmanuel Macron and Putin, which took place on July 1.
On April 5, Putin said that Russia is open to constructive partnership with all countries and is not going to isolate itself. According to him, such approaches are laid down in the updated Concept of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation approved on March 31. He added that this document formulates a system of views on Russia's national interests, outlines the main goals and objectives, as well as key areas of Russian diplomacy.
