In the last days of July, temperatures are expected to rise to +30...+31 degrees in Moscow. However, the heat will subside in the first days of August. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on July 28.

"We cannot say that the heat in Moscow is abnormal. Actually, we haven't had such an abnormal heat wave in Moscow yet, because the temperature didn't reach +30 degrees this week," the forecaster noted.

According to the expert, the hot weather is caused by an area of high atmospheric pressure, which will persist until the end of the month. The dry and sunny weather will continue, with the hottest days forecast for the end of July.

"That is, for Moscow, as a city, there will be another category of hot weather, namely hot weather, but not extremely hot, because we have not yet had major positive anomalies in the daily average temperature," Pozdnyakova added.

A change in the weather pattern is expected on August 1-2, when a cyclone from the west will begin to displace the anticyclone. According to the expert, this will lead to short-term rains.

"Although the high temperature in the region will remain on August 1, but on the 2nd it is expected that the heat will weaken," she explained.

So, in the last days of July in Moscow, the temperature will reach +28 ...+31 degrees, and from August 2 it is expected to decrease to +22 ...+27 degrees. In the capital, the temperature may reach +25...+27 degrees, which corresponds to hot, but not extremely hot weather.

On July 26, nutritionist Anastasia Nekhoroshkova talked about how to avoid dehydration in the heat and drink enough fluids. The nutritionist recommended not relying on the feeling of thirst, as this feeling develops slowly in children and the elderly, which can contribute to dehydration.
