Four people died in an accident on the M-8 highway in the Arkhangelsk region.
Four people were killed when two cars collided on the federal highway M-8 "Kholmogory" in the Velsky district of the Arkhangelsk region. This was reported on July 28 in the Telegram channel of the Agency of the State Fire Service and Civil protection of the region.
"On the 730th km of the M-8 highway in the Velsky district, a serious accident occurred: a Lada 211440 passenger car and a Citroen Jumper cargo van collided. As a result of the collision, both vehicles caught fire. <...> Four people who were in the Lada car were killed," the report says.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and retrieved the bodies of the victims. Identification is difficult due to severe burns. The truck driver was hospitalized.
On July 27, more than 20 tourists were injured in a bus accident in the Kiginsky district of Bashkiria. Eight victims were hospitalized. A criminal case has been opened into the accident under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements).
