In Primorsky Krai, the fact of the supply of substandard CT scanners at an inflated cost has been established as part of the national Healthcare project. This was announced on Monday, July 28, by the regional prosecutor's office.

Based on the materials of the prosecutor's check, a criminal case has been opened under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). A statement of claim against the equipment supplier for compensation of the damage caused, which amounted to over 60 million rubles, was also sent to the Arbitration Court of Primorsky Krai.

"The results of the investigation of the criminal case and the consideration of the claim are under the control of the supervisory authority," the agency's Telegram channel clarified.

On July 25, it was reported that the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra had completed a criminal case against a businessman accused of stealing 170 million rubles during the supply of oil pipelines. According to the investigation, over the past two years, the man has signed contracts with two large companies to supply the latter with oil pipelines. The defendant provided forged documents on the quality of the goods and supplied products in a smaller volume than was stated in the contract.
