A special forces soldier of the Russian Guard destroyed a kamikaze drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone on the move.

A soldier of the Russian Guard shot down an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) while in a moving car in the border area of Sumy region. This was announced on Monday, July 28, by the press service of the ministry.

"While in a moving car, a special forces soldier discovered a kamikaze drone rapidly approaching. Having instantly assessed the situation, he opened fire with small arms and destroyed the drone in the air," the Rosgvardiya Telegram channel noted.

As a result of the explosion that occurred after the destruction of the UAV, the soldier received shrapnel wounds, gave himself first aid and continued to control the airspace. It is specified that after rehabilitation, he returned to service and continues to perform combat missions.

On July 16, the Rosgvardiya press service reported that the department's special forces destroyed an artillery installation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region. The attack was carried out using an FPV drone, which hit the enemy's combat installation.
