- Scientists from California tried to dim the sunlight with the help of "sea clouds"
Researchers from the state of California in the USA, in secret from the public, made an attempt to dim sunlight with the help of clouds from seawater. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on July 27, citing internal documents.
"A team of researchers from California was planning a much larger and potentially more risky study of saltwater spraying equipment that could eventually be used to dim the sun's rays, a multimillion—dollar project aimed at creating clouds over an ocean area larger than Puerto Rico," the publication said.
This study was aimed at combating climate change on planet Earth. In public, the work of scientists would be criticized.
"The idea that humans are interfering with the weather and climate has caused a political backlash and given rise to conspiracy theories, which has exacerbated the problems of conducting even small trials," the newspaper noted.
Earlier in the day, Chinese scientists warned of a climate change due to overheating of the oceans. It is noted that the marine waves of the temp (MW) lasted four times longer than usual. According to scientists, such indicators are associated with a decrease in clouds, wind and changes in currents. They also believe that overheating of the oceans in 2023 could predict major shifts in the Earth's climate.
