Starting from October 1, civil servants will receive a 7.6 salary increase.%

On July 28, State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin announced that starting from October 1, salaries for a number of categories of civil servants will be increased by 7.6% in Russia due to rising inflation.

"Starting from October 1, 2025, a new salary increase will take place in Russia for a number of categories of civil servants. The basis was a draft amendment to a government decree providing for an increase in the previously announced indexation coefficient from 4.5% to 7.6% due to rising inflation," he told RIA Novosti.

It is specified that the increase will affect employees of the Rosgvardiya, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the FSSP, the FPS, customs, courier services, as well as military personnel.

According to Govyrin, salaries will be recalculated from October, and the actual increased payments will arrive in November.

At the same time, the deputy noted that according to article 134 of the Labor Code, owners of commercial enterprises must regularly review employees' salaries in order to protect them from inflation.

According to him, the government decree does not oblige businesses to raise the salaries of their employees, so employers will determine the timing and amount of the increase themselves.
