France reported the death of 16 people in an accident in Côte d'Ivoire
A car crash in northern Côte d'Ivoire claimed the lives of 16 people, and 51 others were injured in various degrees of severity. This was reported by local media outlet Ouest France on Sunday, July 27.
According to the country's Ministry of Transport, the accident occurred at 06:00 local time on the Katiola–Niakara road.
"The incident involved a public transport bus traveling from San Pedro (Ivory Coast) to Ouagadagou (Burkina Faso), and a dump truck with a crane on the roof," the publication said.
According to the Ministry, all the injured have already been taken to the Katiola Regional Hospital Center (CHR) for further treatment.
Earlier, on July 25, in Peru, 15 people were killed and 27 injured due to the overturning of a bus. It was noted that the causes of the accident are currently being investigated. Police and emergency services were rescuing people who were trapped in an overturned bus.
