- A requiem event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Children killed in Donbass was held in Moscow.
In Moscow, in the Hall of Memory and Sorrow of the Victory Museum, an action was held -a requiem for the Day of Remembrance of Children who became victims of the conflict in Donbass. Footage from the July 27 event is published by Izvestia.
On this day, an exhibition dedicated to the soldiers who died in the war zone was opened in the museum. There, the participants of the event pronounced the names of the children who died at the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and also laid flowers and toys.
"You are people of incredible strength, because it is very difficult to survive the loss of your child. And the fact that today we are opening a section dedicated to the Heroes of the Ural land for our new exhibition suggests that the memory will be alive after us. And history will be alive," said Varvara Erokhina, Assistant General Director of the Victory Museum.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by mothers whose children died during their military service.
"I feel overwhelmed that we are here, that we have brought our children, that our exposition will open soon with our children. <...> It is here, in such a museum, that this is happening: children died there, in Donbass, very young, and our already grown-up children who defended [died]. Everything is interconnected. I still want to convey to the whole world that it is wrong that these children died," said Tatiana Volosnikova, the mother of the deceased SVO participant.
Earlier that day, a Memorial Day for children who became victims of the conflict in Donbass was held at the Alley of Angels in Donetsk. A flower-laying ceremony was held there.
