Finnish Foreign Trade Minister Tavio believes that the customs agreement between the EU and the United States will calm the situation, but the tariff level is too high.

Earlier in the day, the United States and the European Union (EU) agreed on a trade deal. The agreement will allow the EU to avoid 30% duties that could be imposed by Washington. On the same day, von der Leyen announced that it was necessary to replace Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil with an American equivalent in order to reduce duties. She stressed that the purchase of energy products from the United States will contribute to the energy security of Europe.
