In the Gaza Strip, people stand in queues for hours near a charity kitchen. On July 27, journalist Muhammad Mattar told Izvestia about this.

"We come to the charity kitchen every day. Sometimes it is possible to take food, sometimes not, because there are too many people, and there is catastrophically little food," said one of the residents of the region.

According to the journalist, the food crisis in Gaza has worsened due to the closure of checkpoints, the shelling of the charity kitchen and its employees by the occupying forces. As noted by the residents of the region, they do not even have bread and flour.

One of the local residents also reported a lack of food in the tents. In addition, according to the woman, she does not have the money to go to the market, as there are high prices.

"One tomato is worth a million, a small bag is worth a million, flour is worth a million. Where do we get millions from?" — she shared.

Earlier in the day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a daily humanitarian pause in the fighting in the Gaza Strip on July 27. This decision will apply in areas where the Israeli military does not conduct operations, including Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balakha and Gaza. It was adopted as a result of negotiations with the UN and international humanitarian organizations.
