In Crimea, a fire broke out on an area of 20 hectares along the Yevpatoria—Simferopol highway. This was announced on July 27 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"In the Simferopol region, along the Yevpatoria—Simferopol highway, dry vegetation is burning," the report says.
Emergency workers are working at the scene. It is specified that the fire is spreading rapidly due to wind and abnormal heat. More than 80 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 14 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the fire.
Earlier, on July 19, it was reported about a fire in a forest area in the vicinity of the satellite city of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). The fire occurred between Michurin and Energodar.
