A light-engine aircraft crashed in the area of Nove Zamory in southwestern Slovakia, killing the 81-year-old pilot of the aircraft. This was announced on July 27 by the press service of the local police on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

"This morning, a small motor aircraft crashed into a field in the village of Tvrdoshovce. <...> There was an 81-year—old pilot in the wreckage, who, unfortunately, showed no signs of life," the law enforcement agencies said.

It is noted that rescue services arrived at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

Earlier in the day, BFMTV reported that three people were killed in a tourist plane crash in Aire-et-Loire in north-central France. It is specified that the Cessna 172 aircraft crashed in a residential area, but not a single house was damaged.
