The permitted alcohol sales hours in Russia should be gradually reduced at the federal level. This was announced on July 27 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber (CC RF) on demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.

"Today, the restrictions on the sale of alcohol that exist at the federal level — from 08:00 to 23:00 — should be tightened," TASS quoted him as saying.

As Rybalchenko recalled, in the Soviet Union, the sale of strong alcohol was carried out from 11:00 to 19:00.
