Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov on the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Eternal Friendship, Alliance and Partnership between the two countries. This was announced on July 27 on the Kremlin's official website.
"The 2000 Declaration marked the beginning of the modern stage of interstate relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The signing of this important document has created conditions for a qualitative increase in bilateral dialogue and cooperation in key areas," the head of the Russian state noted.
Putin expressed confidence that Moscow and Bishkek will continue to strengthen relations in a bilateral format and within the framework of such associations as the EurAsEC, the CSTO, the CIS and the SCO. He added that this meets the fundamental interests of friendly peoples and is in line with ensuring security, stability and well-being in the Eurasian space.
In conclusion, the Russian leader wished Japarov good health and success, and peace and prosperity to the people of Kyrgyzstan.
During the talks between Putin and Japarov on July 2, the parties confirmed their intention to continue developing relations between the two countries in all key areas. The leaders expressed satisfaction with the high level of partnership achieved between Moscow and Bishkek. Japarov also highlighted the successful work of the Kyrgyz-Russian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation.
