A civilian was killed as a result of an attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Obesta, Kursk region. This was announced by Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein on July 26.

According to the acting governor, a Ukrainian FPV drone carried out an attack near the village club, which is located 5 km from the border with Ukraine.

"To my great sorrow, a civilian was killed as a result of the strike," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Khinstein also expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased.

Earlier that day, Khinstein said that a 52-year-old civilian was injured due to the Ukrainian attack. It is noted that the victim had a shrapnel wound to his abdomen and right foot.
