A surgeon from Kalmykia and his cousin were killed in a drone attack in the Rostov region.

A well-known surgeon from Kalmykia and his cousin died as a result of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) strike on a car in the Rostov region. This was announced on Saturday, July 26, by the head of Kalmykia, Batu Khasikov.

"It is with deep sorrow that I inform you that as a result of the attack by a Ukrainian UAV in the Zimovnikovsky district of the Rostov region, two of our countrymen were killed. <...> One of the victims is Miroslav Vladimirovich Nasankaev, a maxillofacial surgeon who has been working in Moscow in recent years," Khasikov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also added that the authorities would provide support to the families of the victims and called the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of Russia barbarism and terrorism directed against civilians.
