Russian schoolchildren won the International Linguistics Olympiad in Taiwan

Moscow schoolchildren became winners at the International Linguistics Olympiad, which was held in Taipei, Taiwan. This was reported on the website on July 26. mos.ru .

"The guys performed tasks in individual and team tours. At first, each of them solved five tasks, and then the national team performed one, but more extensive linguistic task," the Moscow Department of Education and Science was quoted on its website.

For example, in the individual round of the Olympiad, participants spent six hours solving problems on numerals, morphology, and syntax. For example, among the tasks there was a question about the correspondence between the participants' native language and the translation from Keva, which is spoken in South America.

It is specified that the Olympiad was held from July 21 to July 26. Moscow schoolchildren managed to win four medals there. So, student Ekaterina Churkina from school No. 179 took the first place, Daria Kukshinova and Mikhail Nikitin from the Center for Pedagogical Excellence took the second, and Elizaveta Dyatlova from the Letovo School took the third.

Earlier, on June 26, it was reported that the Russian national team won eight medals and took second place at the International Cybersecurity Olympiad. In the final, the Russian team met with 128 schoolchildren from 25 countries. High school students solved problems of increased complexity in cryptography, binary vulnerabilities, web vulnerabilities and reverse engineering, as well as in pentest, steganography and forensics.
