US President Donald Trump said that $100 million that was raised to help victims of fires in California has disappeared. He wrote about this on his Truth Social network on July 25.

"$100 million is missing. They should have gone to help the victims of the fires in Los Angeles, which with proper management would never have happened," he said in a statement.

Trump also accused California Governor Gavin Newsom of inaction during the fires and called for rebuilding the city.

The American leader also called the loss of such a large sum a scam of the US Democratic Party.

Numerous wildfires in Los Angeles began on January 7. A major natural disaster regime has been declared in connection with the fires in the state. More than 12.3 thousand buildings were destroyed.

On January 25, Trump signed executive orders to increase water supply to fire-affected areas of Los Angeles. The American leader noted that we are talking about "unlimited water" that comes from the west coast, partly from Canada.
