The rubble at the site of the collapse of structures of an apartment building in Saratov is being dismantled around the clock by rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. This was reported in the press service of the department on Friday, July 25.

In order to continue working even at night, emergency service personnel install light towers. The rubble is dismantled manually, and special engineering and construction equipment is used in difficult areas.

Dog training teams are also working at the scene, and the territory continues to be checked for casualties.

406 people and 118 pieces of equipment are currently involved in the debris removal.

The explosion in a multi-storey building in Saratov occurred on July 25. A criminal case has been opened into the incident regarding the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. A regional state of emergency has been declared in the Saratov Region. According to Governor Roman Busargin, there may still be people under the rubble. July 26 has been declared a day of mourning in the region. The work continues at night.

According to the latest data, the death toll from the explosion and collapse of house structures has increased to six people. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov, instructed to promptly transfer payments to the victims, and also expressed the ministry's readiness to transport the wounded to Moscow by departmental flight, if necessary.
