During the course of the combat mission, Guard Ensign Anatoly Chernyak repaired a rocket launcher under enemy artillery fire. The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Russia in the area of a special military operation on Saturday, July 26.

Chernyak performed a combat mission as a technician of a rocket artillery battery. During the shooting, one of his unit's vehicles was unable to fire a salvo in time. The reason for this was a malfunction of the artillery installation.

Despite the constant return fire from the enemy, the guard ensign went to the equipment and carried out the necessary repairs as soon as possible. After that, the combat installation was able to resume further firing at targets.

Also, Guard Sergeant Sergei Shchukin, who is part of an anti-tank battery, noticed in time the appearance of a reconnaissance drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the sky. Fearing an imminent artillery attack from the enemy, he ordered his subordinates to move the equipment to a safe place, after which he went to an equipped shelter. After some time, the place where the Russian soldiers had been standing shortly before was hit by an enemy artillery shell.

A day earlier, Second Lieutenant Sergei Vashcheikin led his unit in the task of capturing an enemy stronghold and successfully completed the operation. He prepared the route for the advance of his assault unit to the site as soon as possible.

On July 24, the Ministry of Defense said that Private Rafael Petrishchev was at an observation post and was carrying out the task of covering Russian units from AFU attacks from the air when he noticed an approaching drone. The fighter immediately took aim with small arms and shot down the enemy drone, despite the risk of being under artillery fire.
