About a thousand electrical substations have been repaired as planned in Moscow this year. This was announced on Friday, July 25, by Deputy Mayor for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping Peter Biryukov.

According to him, as part of the program for 2025, it is planned to upgrade about 2 thousand transformer and distribution substations, half of which have already been put in order, the Moscow City News agency reports. The work is carried out taking into account peak loads and holidays in order to increase the reliability of electricity supply to residential areas, enterprises and social facilities.

Biryukov noted that major and routine repairs of transformers and electrical equipment are being carried out, new insulators, relay protection and automation systems are being installed, RT's website notes. Specialists are also putting insulation, contact connections and metal structures in order, writes Moscow 24.
