Track and field athlete Krylov set a new Russian record in the 100 m run

Russian track and field athlete Konstantin Krylov has set a new Russian record in the 100 m for the first time in 39 years.

The 21-year-old Russian showed a result of 10.04 seconds and became the winner at the Russian Championship among athletes under 23 years of age. The previous record, 10.10 seconds, was held by two Russian track and field athletes, Nikolai Yushmanov (1986) and Andrey Epishin (2006).

"Ilya Sazonov took the second place (10.17 seconds), Alexander Mironov became the third (10.32 seconds)," noted Sport-Express.

Earlier, on July 21, 18-year-old Russian athlete Alexey Danilov set a record in the 400 m running as part of a track and field meeting among the Union State teams. He covered the distance in 44.56 seconds.
