The top 5 most popular travel destinations in Russia this summer included St. Petersburg (13% of all bookings), Krasnodar Krai (12%), Moscow, Kaliningrad Region and Tatarstan (6% each). This was reported to Izvestia by analysts of the Avito Travel housing booking service, who conducted a study of the tourist market.

They noted that last summer the Krasnodar Territory was the leader in the share of bookings (17%), St. Petersburg took the second place in the top (14%), and the same regions closed the ranking as this year.

The average cost of renting an apartment in the summer of 2025 is 4.5 thousand rubles per day, a country house — 8.9 thousand rubles per day. At the same time, the demand for daily apartment rentals increased by 39% compared to last year, and for country houses — by 112%.

According to analysts, the development of domestic tourism stimulates the activity of employers in this segment: the demand for specialists related to the hotel and restaurant business is growing exponentially.

According to Avito Rabota, in the second quarter of 2025, the demand for travel agents increased the most — the number of vacancies for them increased by 71% year-on-year, and the average salary offered was 75,704 rubles/month (+26%). The actual income of travel agents depends on the volume and cost of tours sold: the amount may differ from the average values indicated by employers in the ads.

Employers' demand for kitchen staff (+50%) and busboys (+44%) who work in hotel restaurants was also recorded. The average salary offers for them amounted to 50,848 rubles/month (+8%) and 68,391 rubles/month (+28%), respectively.

"The growth of domestic tourism in 2025 creates not only increased demand for housing, but also creates new requirements for staff in the hospitality sector. It is interesting to see how unusual vacancies appear — from a guide to a farm to an instructor at a tank museum, which indicates the expansion of the boundaries of a traditional tourist service. At the same time, employers are offering increasingly attractive conditions — the average salary offer in the field increased by 52% in the first half of the year and amounted to 80 thousand rubles/month. at full employment," Roman Gubanov, Director of Development at Avito Rabota, explained to Izvestia.

On July 22, Yandex Travel analysts told Izvestia that beauty tourism in Russia is booming: more and more people are combining travel with wellness, choosing unusual spa treatments in different parts of the country. This format of recreation is especially relevant in the summer, when you want not only to change the environment, but also to improve your well-being.
