The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has chosen a preventive measure against the former governor of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov, in the form of detention. This was announced on July 25 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that the defendant is accused in the case of receiving a particularly large bribe, provided for in Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The press service noted that Egorov will stay in jail for one month and 30 days.

In addition, Alexander Solomatin, accused of mediating bribery in the Egorov case, was also detained for a similar period.

Earlier that day, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow sent Irina Zhdankina, deputy head of the Khimki City District for territorial development and investment, under house arrest in a case of receiving a particularly large bribe.
