Belousov noted the progress of the Russian Armed Forces in the October direction

On July 25, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the soldiers of the 5th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade on the liberation of the settlement of Novoekonomichoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and noted the confident advance of the Russian military in the October direction.

"Since the first days of the special military operation, the military personnel of the unit have selflessly liberated Lugansk and Donetsk lands from neo-Nazis, writing new pages in the history of the military glory of the unit. Exceptional steadfastness, professionalism and selfless dedication to duty have once again proved that you can be relied upon in the most difficult conditions," the telegram says in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Belousov added that the brigade's employees are an example of courage and perseverance in carrying out their combat missions.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense reported that the liberated settlement of Novoekonomichoe was of great strategic importance for the development of a further offensive. Its transfer to Russian control will allow cutting off supply routes to the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by controlling nearby transport arteries.
