Russia initiated a meeting of the UN Security Council on July 31 regarding attempts to disrupt negotiations between Moscow and Kiev in Istanbul. This was announced on Friday, July 25, by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the world Organization.

"The more your military supplies to the Kiev regime, the more our strikes will be. This is not our choice, we have long and consistently proposed to resolve the Ukrainian crisis through diplomacy. But you are not satisfied with this, as long as you are ready to continue fighting with Russia at the hands of Ukrainians," Polyansky said during a meeting of the UN Security Council, which was broadcast on the Telegram channel of the permanent Mission of Russia to the world organization.

According to him, on July 31, Moscow proposes to focus on actions that hinder the diplomatic settlement of the conflict.

The third round of negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict ended in Istanbul on the evening of July 23. The meeting of the delegations took place in the Chiragan Palace in a closed format and lasted about an hour. The head of the Russian delegation, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, expressed hope for a fourth round of negotiations.

He also noted that the positions of the parties on the memoranda are currently far from each other. Also, in order to save time and money, Russia has proposed to Ukraine to create three working groups that will negotiate online.
