The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations instructed to send payments to the victims of the gas explosion in Saratov

The victims of the gas explosion and the collapse of structures in a multi-storey building in Saratov need to promptly send payments. This was announced on July 25 by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, during an operational meeting at the scene of the incident.

"It is necessary to prepare lists of victims and other documents substantiating the amount of damage caused, and promptly arrange for the payment of material assistance and compensation to victims for the loss of property," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations expressed readiness to provide an aircraft for the evacuation of injured people for treatment in Moscow, if necessary. At the same time, Kurenkov demanded to ensure round-the-clock security of the house, and after checking it, provide access to residents of undisturbed apartments so that they can pick up necessary things.

The explosion in a multi-storey building occurred on July 25. A criminal case has been opened into the incident regarding the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. A regional state of emergency has also been declared in the Saratov Region. Shortly after, it was reported that the number of victims of the explosion and the collapse of the structures of the house increased to nine people.
