Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the positive nature of the work of the Federation Council during the spring session. This was announced on Friday, July 25, by the Kremlin's press service.

"The Upper House solved priority tasks in terms of structural changes in the Russian economy and addressing social issues. <...> This very extensive work was and still is positive. I want to thank you and all the senators for this," the president said at a meeting with Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matvienko.
