Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. During the week, the Russian Armed Forces carried out 10 group strikes against military installations in Ukraine. Enterprises of the military-industrial complex, the infrastructure of military airfields, drone assembly and storage sites, fuel depots, rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, territorial recruitment centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as enemy temporary deployment sites were hit.

In addition, during the week, the Russian army destroyed four launchers of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) and the AN/MPQ-65 multifunctional radar station manufactured in the United States.

Units of the North group of forces liberated the village of Varachino, Sumy region, from July 19 to July 25. During the week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 1,150 militants, two tanks, six armored fighting vehicles, 37 vehicles and 29 guns in the group's area of responsibility. Two ammunition depots and two electronic warfare (EW) stations were also destroyed.

At the same time, the Center group of troops continued its offensive in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region, liberating the settlements of Novoretskoye, Novoeconomicheskoe and Zverevo of the Donetsk People's Republic.

"Units of the Southern Group of Forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlement of Belaya Gora in the Donetsk People's Republic. The manpower and equipment of five mechanized, airmobile, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade were defeated," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

During the week, the Air Defense Forces shot down 27 guided aerial bombs, six HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a Vampire multiple rocket launcher, four Neptune long-range guided missiles and 2,049 aircraft-type drones. In addition, on the night of July 25, four unmanned Kiev regime boats were eliminated in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 664 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 72,402 UAVs, 624 air defense systems, 24,324 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,581 MLRS combat vehicles, 27,815 field artillery and mortars, as well as 38,681 units of special military vehicles.
