An eyewitness of the emergency in Saratov told about the power of the blast wave

The explosion in one of Saratov's apartment buildings was so powerful that fragments and bricks flew many meters away from it. On July 25, Anastasia, an eyewitness to the incident, who lives in a neighboring high-rise building, told Izvestia.

"The whole street here is in shards, debris. It happened around 12:05. <...> It seemed like it was all over me (an explosive wave. — Ed.) it's gone," Anastasia said.

The woman also reported that a child's body had been seen at the scene of the tragedy.

"If we had passed by this house 10 minutes earlier, I do not know what would have happened to us," said an eyewitness.

According to the woman, the windows of the neighboring house were also damaged by the explosion.

"My mother-in-law lives next door, and it got damaged. There are windows and balconies that face the epicenter of the collapse, they were all hit by bricks and an explosive wave," Anastasia shared.

As a result of the tragedy, three people died.

The explosion in an apartment building in Saratov occurred on the morning of July 25. Four people died. According to the Izvestia source, one child was among the dead. A criminal case has been opened on the provision of services that do not meet security requirements. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion also damaged neighboring houses in the private sector. Later it became known that one survivor was found under the rubble of the collapsed house.
