A military helicopter has disappeared in the Alma Ata region of Kazakhstan.

An EC-145 military helicopter with three crew members disappeared from radar in the Alma Ata region of Kazakhstan during a scheduled flight. This was reported on July 25 in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

"According to preliminary data, there were three crew members on board. Search and rescue operations are underway," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

On behalf of the country's defense minister, a special commission flew to the site to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

On July 14, an Mi-8 helicopter carrying five people disappeared in the Far East. It was noted that three crew members and two technicians went on the flight. The prosecutor's office reported that the aircraft was flying on the route Chumikan — Okhotsk — Magadan. After refueling, the pilot did not get in touch.

Later, the wreckage of the helicopter was found in the Khabarovsk Territory. A criminal case was opened into the incident. On July 16, the Russian Emergencies Ministry announced that there were no survivors of the crash.
