Peskov noted the loss of economic power by the European Union

The countries of the European Union (EU) are rapidly losing their economic power and political influence. This was announced on July 25 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"The EU is losing economic power, and the dynamics of the EU economy speaks volumes about this. The European Union is losing its political influence and sovereignty — these are all objective processes that will develop dynamically," the Russian leader's press secretary said at a briefing.
