The passenger plane of Boeing S7 Airlines (Siberia) en route to Sochi, which announced an emergency return to the departure airport in Novosibirsk, landed successfully. An investigation has been launched into the incident, the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC) reported on July 25.

"Currently, the aircraft has landed safely at the airport. In Novosibirsk, investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia are conducting an investigation into an aviation accident," the agency's Telegram channel says.

It was previously established that the plane en route Novosibirsk—Sochi requested an emergency landing at the Tolmachevo departure airport due to technical problems. Now his passengers are waiting for another liner to continue the flight.

A pre-investigation check has been launched under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic safety and operation rules of air transport"). The causes and circumstances of the emergency will be determined.

The press service of Novosibirsk Airport earlier that day informed Izvestia that the Boeing S7, en route to Sochi, performed a U-turn and was returning due to technical reasons. The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office clarified that the crew decided to return to the departure airport "to check the sealing and pressurization systems."

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
