Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) dropped ammunition into a parking lot near the fire station of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This was announced on July 25 by the station's press service.
"As a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack, a drone dropped ammunition into a parking lot near the fire station of the Zaporizhia NPP. Seven civilian vehicles parked in the parking lot were damaged. The explosion ignited dry vegetation in the surrounding area, right next to the heating main. Fortunately, the station staff was not injured," the station's Telegram channel wrote.
Emergency rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene. The press service stressed that the NPP continues to operate normally, the safety of the main facilities has not been violated. The station stated that such attacks pose a direct threat to nuclear and radiation safety.
