Patrushev announced the reinforcement of the Black Sea Fleet with robotic complexes
In the coming years, the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) will be strengthened, including through the introduction of new marine robotic systems. This was announced on July 25 by Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board.
"In the coming years, Black Sea sailors expect further strengthening - the arrival of new frigates, corvettes, aviation, and marine robotic systems," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Patrushev noted that the Black Sea Fleet successfully resists the growing opposition of NATO in the region and plays an important role in the special military operation.
He stressed that missile strikes were launched from the ships of the Black Sea Fleet against the military infrastructure of Ukraine. The Black Sea residents also blocked Ukrainian ports, stopped the supply of weapons to Kiev by sea and created a maritime security zone under their control.
A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia would ensure its security in all areas of the world's oceans. The Head of State also expressed his intention to fully implement the planned plans for the creation of a modern Russian Navy.
Earlier, on June 9, Patrushev announced that Putin had approved the Strategy for the Development of the Russian Navy for the period up to 2050. In addition, key requirements for the composition of the future fleet, its main functions in peacetime and wartime, and mechanisms for shaping the future appearance of the Navy were identified.
