The UK has attempted a military provocation in the Baltic region in order to disrupt negotiations between Russia and the United States and maintain Washington's support for Ukraine. This was announced on July 25 by Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board.
"Currently, we are talking about an attempt by Britain to pit the two largest nuclear powers against each other in an attempt to disrupt the Russian-American negotiation process and convince Washington to continue full—scale military assistance to the Kiev regime," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
