At least six children were killed when a school roof collapsed in India.
At least six children were killed and 27 others were injured as a result of the collapse of the roof of a school in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. This was reported on July 25 by NDTV TV channel with reference to local authorities.
"At the moment, six children have been confirmed dead in a tragic accident caused by the collapse of a dilapidated public school building in Piplodi village, Manohartana district, Jhalawar District, Rajasthan," the publication says.
According to the TV channel, there were about 60-70 children at the school at the time of the incident. Rescuers continue to dismantle the rubble, they are assisted by local residents and school staff. Two children who were rescued from the rubble are in critical condition.
On July 14, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported that the cornice of an apartment building collapsed in the center of Tbilisi. Two people died as a result of the incident. According to the mayor of the city, Kakha Kaladze, this house belonged to the third category of emergency and could not be restored.
