Before the start of the operation to liberate the village of Zverevo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), units of the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group of forces suppressed the identified firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on July 25 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The guard soldiers overcame open areas of the terrain using individual means of disguise — anti-drone ponchos and blankets. The offensive was conducted using tactics of covert accumulation of forces and methodical mopping up of enemy fortifications," the ministry said.

Having failed to organize a stable defense, the AFU units suffered losses and were forced to retreat, fleeing.

It is noted that the Russian fighters moved in stages during the operation, consistently clearing house after house. Fire support for the attack aircraft was also provided by calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and artillery units.

Having liberated Zverevo, the Russian Army continued its offensive in this direction.
