Units of the 5th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade named after Zakharchenko of the Center group of forces actively used drones and artillery during the liberation of the village of Novoeconomichoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported on July 25 in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"The offensive operation of the assault units was carried out with the support of artillery calculations and FPV attack drones, which knocked out the enemy from fortified positions, clearing the territory of the village," the ministry said.

The liberated settlement is of great strategic importance for the development of a further offensive. Its transfer to Russian control will allow cutting off supply routes to the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by controlling nearby transport arteries.

"The successful conduct of the operation created favorable conditions for the further advance of Russian troops deep into the defense of Ukrainian militants in this direction," the Defense Ministry concluded.

The stormtroopers were supported by tanks with non-standard drone protection.

On July 24, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the villages of Novoeconomicheskoe and Zverevo. It is noted that the points were liberated by the group of troops "Center" in the Red Army direction.
